Six Months Before Election Day, Jewish Voters Continue to Strongly Support Democrats, Sharply Reject President Trump

WASHINGTON – A new national poll of Jewish voters, conducted six months before the midterm elections, found that Jewish voters will overwhelmingly vote for Democrats in the midterm elections. As President Trump’s favorability rating continues to decline nationally, Jewish voters showed clear opposition to President Trump’s policies, including his handling of the economy, the deployment of ICE agents to American cities, and his threats to American democracy. The future of democracy remains the top policy priority for Jewish voters in 2026, just as it was in 2024 and 2022.

According to the JVRC poll, 67% of Jewish voters surveyed indicated they intend to support Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections, which is on par with the percentage of Jewish voters indicating their support of Democrats in the spring of 2024. The poll also found that only 28% of Jewish voters approved of President Trump’s job performance, while Vice President JD Vance’s favorability rating is even lower at 19%, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio at 27%. The poll also indicated that high levels of American Jewish voters (70%) feel emotionally attached to Israel, while low numbers support Prime Minister Netanyahu (28%), and a majority (55%) oppose the way Israel conducted the war in Gaza.

The national survey, conducted by GBAO Strategies on behalf of the non-partisan Jewish Voters Resource Center (JVRC), was conducted April 28-May 3, 2026, and included interviews with 800 self-identified Jewish voters. The national survey is subject to a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points at the 95 percent confidence level.

A large majority (72 percent) also believes that Trump’s deployment of ICE agents to American cities is making America more dangerous, and 81 percent do not think the U.S. government should allow ICE agents to conceal their identity and wear masks.”
