WASHINGTON – A national poll of Jewish voters conducted two months before the midterm elections found broad support for Democratic congressional candidates, consistent with a similar poll conducted in May 2026, and continued strong disapproval of President Trump and his policies.

The national survey by GBAO Strategies on behalf of the non-partisan Jewish Voters Resource Center (JVRC) was conducted from August 26 to September 1 and included interviews with 800 self-identified Jewish voters. The national survey is subject to a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.

Members of the media are invited to attend a virtual briefing on Wednesday, September 9 at 12:00 p.m. ET, and must register in advance. Jim Gerstein, principal at GBAO Strategies, will present the findings and answer questions.

Key findings include:

• 67% of Jewish voters plan to support a Democrat for Congress, compared to 26% who plan to support a Republican.
• 25% of Jewish voters approve of President Trump’s job as president, while 75% disapprove.
• 14% of Jewish voters have a favorable view of Vice President Vance, while 82% view him unfavorably.
• When asked which two issues are of highest priority, 37% of Jewish voters named cost of living and affordability, closely followed by the future of democracy at 36%, and antisemitism at 25%.
• 89% of Jewish voters are concerned about antisemitism in the United States, including 63% who are very concerned.
• 71% of Jewish voters say they are emotionally attached to Israel.
• 65% disapprove of the current Israeli government’s policy related to the West Bank and Gaza.
• 27% of Jewish voters have a favorable view of Prime Minister Netanyahu, while 67% have an unfavorable view.

“As we head into the final two months of the election, Jewish voters are overwhelmingly supporting Democrats for Congress,” said Jim Gerstein, principal at GBAO Strategies. “Jews remain emotionally attached to Israel, but they oppose Netanyahu and his policies, and it is a lower-tier voting issue. Democracy, the cost-of-living and a deep hostility toward Donald Trump are driving the Jewish vote. It’s particularly striking to see the vast majority expressing concern that Trump will not accept the outcome of the election. For Jewish voters, this is an election about stopping Trump.”
